I have been living in Marbella for nearly 14 years, originally from Glasgow in
Scotland (don’t worry, you can understand me!). I spent one year of University living in St. Petersburg, Russia, a life changing year that inspired me greatly to travel and experience cultures outside of bonny Scotland.
After University my first job took me to New York, an amazing city where I
worked for the British Tourist Authority promoting Britain as a business
destination. New York is a multi cultural city and I thrived on this feeling of
living amongst different kinds of people, style, race, music, food and culture.
After 3 years in the big apple I decide to try life in London, and although I was working in a fabulous hotel, The Savoy, I realised that the rat race just wasn’t for me. So I packed up my car (and my Jack Russel Layla), drove to Marbella and have never looked back, realising the day I arrived that this beautiful little town would be my home for a very long time.
I started working in a restaurant (to my mother’s dismay) and a few years later I decided to take life a bit more seriously (to my mother’s delight) and moved to Puente Romano Hotel where worked for 8 years, the last 4 as the hotel’s wedding planner.
What I have realised in life, is that the greatest satisfaction of all is to make people happy, and although Wedding Planning can be incredibly stressful (5th most stressful job in the world, supposedly!) it is as equally rewarding. The part I love, is doing my absolute best to make a couples’ wedding day, literally the best day of their life. And this goes for wedding ceremonies too.
We had the BEST DAY EVER; it was so perfect. The ceremony was an absolute dream and reduced all our family, friends (and suppliers!) to tears, happy ones of course. Tara was amazing and we can't thank you both enough from the bottom of our hearts, the ceremony was made so personal and captured us just perfectly as a couple, we didn't stop laughing! Both Jake and I felt like the ceremony went on forever, it wasn't at all rushed and we were able to just freeze in time and take in the moment together. Thank you once again for all of your help, support and guidance from the very moment we first made contact with you - the Malaga Minister team are just fabulous and our day wouldn't have been the same without you. Our guests loved every part of the ceremony, the coin ritual was so gorgeous and it was such a nice moment when our mums tied our hands together, we will never ever forget these special moments.
